چکیده
Chronic systemic inflammation is a key component of the pathogenesis both type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and coronary artery disease (CAD). Soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule‑1 (sVCAM‑1) considered as indicator endothelial activation. The aim our study was to investigate sVCAM‑1 levels in patients with CAD T2DM determine their dependence on previous history myocardial infarction (MI). included 52 stable T2DM, 20 without 14 control group persons. sVCAM-1 were measured serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. higher than (p<0,001 p<0,001, respectively). difference between not significant (p=0,355). There no correlations glucometabolic indices any group. Only level negatively correlated high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. (MI) had MI (p=0,038, р=0,043, diabetic increased those (р=0,036, comparison controls). left ventricular remodeling either or MI. Conclusions. In controls. However, only absence there further increase its postinfarction cardiosclerosis.

Background: Diabetes mellitus, which is associated with elevated blood glucose, lipids and liver enzymes, may results in alterations in the production of inflammatory cytokines, including chitinase-3-like protein 1 (YKL-40) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), which induce and promote complications of diabetes such as atherosclerosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the serum ...

Abstract Background and Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD). Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) TaqIB polymorphism is associated with changes in lipid profile and may be a risk factor for CAD in patients with diabetes. This study aimed to evaluate the association of CETP TaqIB polymorphism with CAD in...

Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetes mellitus can influence coronary artery disease (CAD) independently. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and CAD in type 2 diabetic patients (T2DM). Materials and Methods: This cross sectional study evaluated 3624 T2DM patients with clinical presentation of CAD whose documents were registe...
متن کاملEarly Detection of Asymptomatic Coronary Artery Disease in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Coronary artery disease (CAD) accounts for a large fraction of the morbidity and mortality in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). T2DM is recognized as a CAD risk factor [1]. Patients with T2DM are also at greater risk for silent ischemia and infarction, with a higher prevalence of multi-vessel CAD. Delayed identification of CAD in patients with T2DM unquestionably worsens their prog...
